Our Instructor
Meet Christine Rholl, the lead instructor and owner of Katahdin Rescue! Rholl’s background offers a unique blend of education and extensive field experience in the Maine outdoor industry. She holds a Master’s degree in Outdoor Education Leadership from Prescott College. This formal education allows Rholl both to instruct at a collegiate level and bring a heightened understanding of teaching styles and leadership theory to her courses. Rholl has also spent 14 years working in Maine’s outdoor industry as a whitewater guide, recreation guide, ski patroller, and outdoor educator. This experience has given Rholl a well-rounded understanding of the breadth of Maine’s outdoor recreation industry and the ability to better contextualize course material for various groups.
